2017 YEAR-END GIVING

We are so grateful for you and your commitment to our mission of reflecting the love of God to impact others for Christ.  Without the generous participation of our church family through the giving of your time, talents and treasures, we would not be able to fulfill our mission and spread the Gospel through our communities, city, and world.

Thank you for your investment in our mission!  We believe that as you continue to obediently and generously give of what the Lord has given you, the best is yet to come!

In 2 Corinthians 8, Paul is encouraging the church in their generous giving and in the midst of his encouragement he shares this simple, yet powerful charge to the church: “finish doing it.”  This is a call to take up the mission and carry it to completion in the context of sacrificial, generous, and obedient giving.

We charge to you, Westwind, this same encouragement, and call.  Let us finish well together in our sacrificial generosity and obedience as we approach the end of 2017.  As a church, we rely on strong December offerings to strengthen the foundation of the work the Lord is calling us toward.

Let’s join together and pray that God would open the heavens and meet the needs of our church. Let us also seek the Lord together and what He is asking of us as the Spirit leads.  We are fully aware that every dollar given to the Lord at Westwind represents a step of faith and sacrifice. Because of this, we assure you that, to the very best of our ability, we faithfully steward the Lord’s funds while pursuing our mission with faith and passion.

In this year end, we are encouraging your regular giving to continue and increase in this season. As well, we have set a goal of $28,000 that we are asking of our body to contribute to that is above and beyond our regular giving, leading us toward a balanced budget and continuing to fulfill what God is calling us to do.

Year-end contributions can be made online with the links below, by mail, or at our weekend worship services in our Offering boxes. Mailed contributions must be postmarked by December 31 to receive contribution credit for 2017.

Thank you so much for doing your part as together we continue to pursue our mission of reflecting the love of God to impact others for Christ.  Thank you for serving.  Thank you for praying.  Thank you for sacrificially giving.

Giving at Westwind Church

Giving is a major theme in the Bible. In fact, Jesus talks about money more than any other topic. While it can be hard to talk about, the truth is, the Bible has a lot to say about where our money goes.

The first principle is Tithing. Tithing is a biblical word for giving the first 10% of your income to God through a local church. This is the first and most important way we honor God with our money. (Proverbs 3:9-10)

Giving is not just a box to check off, rather it is an invitation to trust God with the very resources He gave us in the first place. By giving, we curb a consumer mentality and invest in God’s eternal kingdom.
