RELENTLESS PRAYER

Because we value what Jesus values—prayer is non-negotiable at Westwind Church (Matthew 6:5-13; John 17:1-26; Acts 2:42; Ephesians 6:18-20). Jesus modeled that prayer is the work of the ministry and taught that His Father’s house will be called a “house of prayer for all nations” (Isaiah 56:7).

Before entering public ministry, our Savior spent forty days and nights in the wilderness, fasting and praying to his Father (Mark 11:17; Matthew 4:1-2). Prior to choosing the twelve apostles “to be with him,” Christ spent the night in prayer (Matthew 10:2-4; Luke 6:12-16; Mark 3:13-19).
