Join us December 23rd from 6-8PM to experience a a one of a kind Gospel event, focused on the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This year's Christmas Eve Eve service will premiere a never-before-told story of tragedy and sorrow, that leads to hope and faith in a newborn savior. This service is a full family event (childcare provided for ages birth to 24 months) and is focused on preaching the gospel - please invite your friends! Following the service will be a time of Christmas fellowship, complete with hot chocolate and homemade Christmas cookies.

We can't wait to share the hope of Jesus and celebrate the coming of our Savior alongside you during this incredible event!

Westwind’s Grand Opening is packed with amazing activities for you, your family and neighbors. Our day launches with an exceptional worship service including music, relevant teaching, fellowship, coffee and so much more. We invite families to drop off your birth to 5th grade kiddos in our newly renovated Kids Ministry space for an incredible morning experience just for them. Our middle and high school students are invited to participate in the worship service along with their friends and family. Immediately following the service we will gather outdoors for an incredibly fun celebration with inflatable attractions, music, family activities and a totally free BBQ lunch from Snappy’s Stick Fire BBQ food truck. Single Parent Provision Gift Wrapping Party

Friday, November 20

6:30-8 pm

We are partnering with Single Parent Provision as they prepare for their Single Moms Christmas Dinner at Home Edition. They are preparing to serve 1,100 single moms and 1,600 children this year and we get to be a part by purchasing and wrapping gifts to give to these children.

Before November 20, please purchase a $10-$12 gift for a child in one of these age groups — 3rd/4th grade, 5th/6th grade, 7th/8th grade or 9th-12th grade to bring with you to our Gift Wrapping Party. Ideally each 4th and 5th grader will bring one gift each and if you want to bring more, then that is great too. Also, please bring enough gift wrap and tape for your gift(s) and to wrap many others.

On November 20, join us as we have a fun time together, wrapping and praying over our special gifts as well as many that have been donated to SPP by others so that they are ready to be delivered to these children.

We value encouraging and engaging kids to grow and to serve with the Church. And what fun we have serving together as we give of our time and treasures to our community as they learn more about Christ’s love.

We are excited to be able to host a one day Fall Retreat for our students in partnership with Wildwood Hills Ranch!  Our day will be packed with fun activities, great teaching, worship, outdoor experiences and more.  This one day retreat will allow us to create a healthy and safe environment for our students without missing all the fun and memorable parts that retreats bring.  

WHERE: Wildwood Hills Ranch

Cost: $35 per person

Transportation to and from Wildwood Hills Ranch is the responsibility of each family.  Westwind will not be providing group transportation due to social distancing and health strategies to ensure a safe and healthy experience for each student.

Ladies, join us on Friday, October 2nd at 6:30pm, in Liz Carson’s backyard for some socially distanced social time. We had a great time at the Ice Cream Social, in August, and want to keep gathering together, as you feel comfortable.

We will have prepackaged snacks and hot apple cider available for you to enjoy. You can also bring a pumpkin with you, if you’d like to paint it while we’re together. You can also come just to chat, that’s great too! Remember to bring your own chair. No RSVP needed.

The men of Westwind will gather together ONLINE for our One Day Conference to dive into community, worship, service and Biblical teaching.

Our focus will be on Biblical manhood and leadership in the home, work and community with a special guest speaker and breakouts facilitated around the three spaces of leadership. Our vision is to see our men strengthened, encouraged and grown in their relationship with God and the influential leaders they have in their world.

This years speaker will be Matt Frey, Teaching and Equipping Pastor from Keystone Church in Ankeny. We are excited to have Matt share his heart, journey and leadership experience in our conversation on Biblical manhood and leadership.

This years conference will be an ONLINE conference utilizing ZOOM as our core platform. There is no cost for attendance. The whole experience is FREE. We invite you to register below and we will send the information and links for the full conference the week of the event!

This Spring Conference will be hosted ONLINE through a pre-recorded teaching time available the week of the conference date, and then group discussion times through ZOOM on the day of the conference. Our Good Friday service is purposeful around the experiencing and remembering the work of Jesus, our Savior, on the cross. This beautiful and moving service draws us to a place to be visually reminded that Jesus paid it all, so that we can have it all in relationship with a loving God.

We are preparing a special at home Good Friday Experience that will be available on April 10 at westwindchurch.org/good-friday.
