The Adult Ministries at Westwind exists to fulfill our mission and stand on the foundation of our core values and beliefs.  We do this through Gathering (special events, Bible studies & more), Discipling (D-Groups and Mentoring), and Serving (impacting our community through hands-on outreach opportunities).

We believe that as we draw together to seek the Lord, the Lord will begin to change us to be more and more like Him.  As we learn to live in God’s love and grace, our families, our neighborhoods, and our communities will be radically changed for Christ.

GATHERING

Throughout the year, we create environments for men and women to come together in larger group settings for fun, study, retreat and more. These gathering environments are designed specifically to impact men and women with the Gospel through comfortable and engaging experiences.

DISCIPLING

2 Timothy 1 tells challenges us to follow the sound teaching of God’s Word and to guard the truth that has been entrusted to us, shaping us to be men and women in the faith. Our discipling vision is to reach and impact adults in a structured environment through the areas of personal study, Bible memorization, accountability, prayer, and confession. We create opportunities for this to happen in small groups through D-Groups, or in one-on-one relationships with mentoring.

SERVING

We believe that serving is a key fundamental part of our fulfilling our mission and reaching the community with the Gospel. We serve together through our local outreach partnerships. Click Here to learn about our local outreach partners.

We also serve through being invested in our church. Because Westwind is a mobile church, we have a unique opportunity for our people to serve. Every week we set up and tear down our church at Waukee South Middle School. We value generous participation and believe the opportunities in serving are a great way to get to know others and deepen our relationships while accomplishing the work of the church.
