Kids Ministry In-Person

As kids and families gather for our in-person worship service we have adapted our health & safety protocols for each participant in WestwindKIDS. We value having a safe place for all kids: spiritually, physically, emotionally, socially, and mentally.

Westwind supports a hybrid mask policy ministry wide. This means that we encourage personal responsibility for each attendee - choosing what is needed and appropriate for themselves and their families. Each person is able to choose to wear a mask or to not wear a mask.

We encourage all families to make themselves familiar with the WestwindKIDS’ updated Health & Safety Protocols by clicking the button below.

For families who will continue to worship together in the worship service we will continue to include intentional elements included for kids to connect with God during the service. Kids are able to join in singing and praying, experiencing how we come into the presence of worshiping our God and what can happen in our midst, hearing what God might have for them to specifically hear, taking notes, and interacting with the activities that are in the WestwindKIDS’ activity bags that are available during the service.

INFANTS - 1 YEARS OLD

The sweet babies at WestwindKIDS are cared for in a safe and nurturing environment, we do this by softly playing children’s Christian music in the classroom, rocking, holding, playing with and reading to them.

For the safety of your newborn, we only allow babies into the nursery at 6 weeks and older.

What to Expect

In order to best care for your baby’s individual needs, upon check-in, please take the opportunity to give us this additional information – feeding time and pacifier usage (infants), pacifier usage and permission for Cheerios snack (crawlers) and your phone number and any further notes (all). Your baby’s diaper will be checked during the service and will be changed as it is needed, unless you direct otherwise.

2 YEAR OLDS

2 year olds begin and end the morning in their specific small group area. They have a time for free play and interaction with their small group leaders at the beginning of the morning. Then they join with the 3-5 year olds for a large group time which includes memory verse review, their Bible story and singing. After large group, they spend time engaging in age-appropriate and hands-on activities to further grow in their understanding of the weekly Bible lesson.
